The new program is designed to engage partners who want to include the best dedicated hosting, virtualization and cloud computing technologies as part of the overall services and value delivered to their end-use customers.

The Partner Portal also will automatically authenticate partners when they sign in and will apply the proper pricing, discounts and special offers based on the partner's Silver, Gold or Platinum status.

FDA’s New White Oak Campus Selects InnerWireless DAS to Utilize Complete Coverage in 10 Buildings, 2 Million Square Feet

Known for their staunch competition, AT&T, Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon exist in harmony at the FDA’s new 10-building, 2-million-square-foot White Oak campus where a single unified system distributes the carriers’ signals everywhere – even inside the tunnels connecting the maze of buildings.

The FDA’s master contractor, SMS, chose InnerWireless because it’s a neutral-host system that can carry all of the national wireless providers, which was an FDA requirement. Also, InnerWireless’ passive-hybrid architecture has very few powered elements, which results in very low operating costs, minimal potential points of failure, and increased safety because the DAS can operate even when power is cut during emergencies, when wireless communications are most critical.

The new campus is home to more than 7,000 workers who rely on the InnerWireless distributed antenna system (DAS) to support about 14,000 cell phones and smartphones; that number will likely grow to 25,000 devices as White Oak expands later this year.

One of cloud computing’s biggest challenges – businesses’ concern that their data will be at risk on shared servers – will be bridged by Layered Tech’s new Virtual Private Data Center (VPDC) platform, which delivers cloud computing with a virtualized environment on servers dedicated to individual enterprise customers. The new VPDC platform offers levels of managed services, security and flexibility via a proprietary API previously unavailable in an integrated offering, and it operates exclusively within Layered Tech data centers, thereby guaranteeing unparalleled choice, security, services and customization to meet enterprise business needs.

Layered Technologies Receives Growth Equity Investment Led By Accel-KKR

Layered Technologies, a leading worldwide provider of on-demand and cloud computing IT infrastructure, today announced a $20 million equity infusion from investors led by Accel-KKR, a technology-focused private equity firm. The new investment will help Layered Tech fuel further growth, which includes making strategic acquisitions. Layered Tech’s already strong product offerings in managed services, virtualization and cloud computing business will have an even greater competitive advantage by being well-capitalized and having the long-term commitment of a strong financial partner like Accel-KKR.

With eight top-tier data centers around the world, Layered Tech’s infrastructure powers millions of Web sites and Internet-enabled applications including e-commerce and software as a service (SaaS). Layered Tech has seen rapid growth in recent years, and in 2009 was ranked in the top 15 percent of Deloitte LLP’s Technology Fast 500.
